| Australian Standards | |
|---|---|
| AS5369:2023 | Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices: New autoclaves must be installed and commissioned to this standard before entering clinical use |
| TGA | Therapeutic Goods Act: Autoclaves used in healthcare settings may be regulated as medical devices |
Key signs that replacement should be considered include: High cycle count or age, frequent breakdowns or increasing repair costs, failure to meet current validation or performance requirements, insufficient capacity for your current workload, obsolete models with limited parts availability, and changes to compliance, accreditation or clinical use requirements. U-Tech can carry out a condition and risk assessment to help you plan ahead.
U-Tech supplies bench-top autoclaves from 8 litres through to 28 litre benchtop models. For beauty and nail clinics, 8L, 12L and 18L options are available. For veterinary settings, 18–23L models are commonly used. Dental B Class autoclaves from 17L, 22L through to 28 Litre models. We’ll recommend the right size for your instrument load and daily throughput.
Yes. We supply washer disinfectors including the Tethys H10+ — an innovative device that replaces numerous manual pre-sterilisation tasks, delivering consistent, validated cleaning results with improved workflow efficiency. A washer disinfector is increasingly considered best practice ahead of autoclave sterilisation in high-volume settings.
Yes. Commissioning qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) to AS5369:2023 is included as part of our supply and installation service. We don’t consider the job done until your new autoclave is validated and the compliance certificate is in hand.
